Redness and scars on torso by hypertrophic scars and keloid   Sometimes after a cutaneous injury the skin of a patient develop a disease, called hypertrophic scars and keloids.  On it’s structure, the disease are exuberant fibrous repair tissues. A hypertrophic scar remains confined to the site of original injury; a keloid, however, extends beyond this site, often with clawlike extensions. May be cosmetically very unsightly and pose a serious problem for the patient if the lesion is large...
